Description

Clergy will want to make a special effort to attend the May Clergy Day, which will be an opportunity to update your required Safe Church certification (which expires every 3 years). The training will be led by Robin Hammeal-Urban of the iocese of Connecticut, chair of the General Convention Task Force to Update Sexual Misconduct Policies.

Hammeal-Urban explains, “We have looked at the current Safe Church Policies, and our recommendations reflect updated models, policies, and practices that address updated issues, including bullying, social media, mission trips, overnight events, and LGBTQ experiences.”

Please register here, and be sure to let us know about any dietary requirements. Contact Liz Crawley in the Bishop's office with any questions liz@episcopalri.org . Parking is on-street, so allow time to find a space.

Organized by

The Episcopal Diocese of Rhode Island is a gathering of the 52 Episcopal Churches in Rhode Island, served by the Bishop, The Rt. Rev. W. Nicholas Knisely and his staff who support congregations as they carry out their mission and ministries. They provide resources and educational opportunities to encourage spiritual development and outreach in the churches of this diocese, as well as in the greater community. Together, our Bishop and churches work to do large-scale ministry no church could operate alone, such as the ECC Summer Camp, the Center for Reconciliation and more.
